BCI was registered and started trading in 2014 with one tiny order from one client, in the first month of opening.  Our client list has grown over the last 7 years and BCI has only gained and retained our customers by offering and maintaining high standards of quality products and services Our company has the reputation of being an honest and solution-based company.

Many of our products find their way into diverse industries from Shopfitters, Fibre Industries to Mining Industries with quite a few in between.  Our main end-users include Telkom and ESCOM.  We offer outstanding service, quality, and commitment to solutions. All of our designs are modelled in 3D utilising the latest Solidworks software.  Our production capacity is virtually unlimited using our vetted and quality orientated suppliers.  

Our 3d printing allows for the manufacture of complex moulds for cold-curing materials like Silicone and various casting and composite Resins which eliminates costly pattern making. Our moulded products in the market include silicone masking for fasteners during powder coating and IP65 Gel seals for Fibre Optic Industry.

Many traditional machining processes have design restrictions which in some cases no longer apply with the use of 3D printing. 

For example, our complex silicon moulds are 3D designed and printed in ABS. CNC machining of these moulds would be very costly.  

BCI has grown our 3D Print Farm from 3 Zortrax M200 printers to 15 - Print platform size 200x200x180.  The 5 M300+ have a print base platform of 300x300x300,  1 x Modix with a print volume of 1800 x 600 x 600mm thus extending the size of the printer base accommodating larger designs.  

The plastic materials that are available in the filament form include ABS, PLA, Nylon, PETG, HIPS and TPU (Flexible).  BCI has facilities for 3d scanning of complex small parts as well as large surfaces.  We also utilize the latest reverse engineering software which allows for accurate 3d modelling.  We envisage future expansion into additional markets which would include Medical and Automotive products.

Scan, 3D Design and Print

We have the following state of the art printers, scanners and design software.  
This includes:    

•      10 x Zortrax M200 printers with a build volume of 200 x 200 x 180H
•      5 x Zortrax M300 printers with a build volume of 300 x 300 x 300H 
•      1 x  Modix Big 180X printer with a build volume of 1800 x 600 x 600 for Printing large Molds and Patterns. 
•      1 x Einscan Pro 2X Scanner (Fixed high definition 3D scanning 40 micron accuracy) 
•      1 x Einscan HX Scanner (Handheld High definition scanner with a texture and colour scanning feature 40 micron accuracy) 
•      2 x Solidworks Premium software packages (2021) 
•      1 x Geomagic reverse engineering Software package 2021 - (converts a .stl to a 3D model) 
•      A 6,5 KVA invertor and charger with 4 x 230Ah batteries supply the printers to cater for any power interruptions.

Design And Manufacture

All BCI drawings are numbered and registered.

Customer information and designs are protected by Copyright and an NDA can be signed if required.

We utilize QA systems of our vetted suppliers. Final inspection is done at BCI warehouse during assembly and prior to delivery.
